The End of Season One- The Tournament of Champions

The Season One Tournament of Champions

As you may or may not know, season one of the WWPL tournaments is quickly coming to a close. At the conclusion of the season, we are proud to host the WWPL Tournament of Champoins for the eight tournament champions. I have met with all the site mods, and we all decided on this idea for the Tournament of Champions.

Premise---Endurance Tournament

Every trainer will start out with 6 pokemon, and any pokemon that faint before their next battle will not be allowed in the trainer's next battle (yes we could be seeing a 1 vs 1 match for the title of Season 1 ToC Champion.

Rules

anything goes (ubers are allowed, no hacks, standard WWPL rules)

The top 4 battlers will be ranked, and the next 4 will go in as unranked

right now, the rankings look like this (based on strength of schedule in their tournament and dominance)

The winner will recieve a special tournament of champions banner and a special reserved spot in the hall of fame. Good luck, and I hope you all enjoy the tournament!

additional note- wolf has decided to drop out of the tournament, he will be replaced with hypergamer, who recieved second place in the tournament wolf won, the Double Down Tournament

alright, so the last 4 arent going to ever be ranked?

who they will face will be decided by a random draw

if you are already unranked at this point, you will not be ranked in the ToC

Currently, the unranked members are the only participants to not win a tournament, they made it in because previous tourney champs won, and already had access, or had dropped out of the tournament

right. so if one of the currently unranked members wins another tournament, they will obviously keep their place in the TOC, but will they then become ranked?

also, is the next tournament in the TOC the chess tournament?

Q1-- perhaps, it will depend on how big the margin of victory is

Q2-- yes, it is

when will it take place?
Yes this is XD003 - i'm using a 3rd party site to get on.

wow wow wow and WOW well if i ever make it in that tourney i will barely make a scratch in the 1st round and wut!?!? those rules r cool but the not usin the pokemon that fainted in battle in the next round (if u win) that seems pretty harsh i'll onlii have 1 pokemon *i think* (if i even make it to the next round OR even have a chance a getting in the tourney at all) well yea all of those parenthesis and stars are a thought that i typed out loud lol

I would know how to make a dent in someone's chances to win the tournament but also (probably) make you lose.
have a team of 6 pokemon with sheer cold type moves, lol. Not a good strategy but voicing ideas

wow thx for the support cyro i feel much better now and btw sheer cold is a gud stragedy if u add mind reader or lock on automatic KO if ur pokemon lives for the next turn

even if i some how git in i will lose so i will just cheer on the combatants
